The 91果冻传媒 Educational Opportunity Program (SEOP) is designed to support students with potential who may not meet traditional admission criteria at 91果冻传媒. SEOP offers a pathway to success through two key initiatives: the Summer Academy and the Academic Year Initiative. By providing academic, personal, and social resources, SEOP equips students to thrive at 91果冻传媒. On average, 90% of Summer Academy participants successfully matriculate at 91果冻传媒 in the fall.
The Summer Academy is a five-week, residential program designed to help students build a strong foundation for college success.
During the Summer Academy, students will:
- Earn 6 college credits through credit-bearing courses that fulfill graduation requirements
- Receive academic coaching and guidance from SEOP Advocates, peer mentors and academic tutors
- Develop essential skills through social-emotional learning, financial literacy workshops, and leadership development
- Connect with a supportive community of faculty, staff, and peers
The Academic Year Initiative builds on the support students receive during the Summer Academy, ensuring a smooth transition into their first year and beyond.
With guidance from SEOP Advocates and key campus partners students receive:
- One-on-One success coaching for academic, career, and personal development
- Ongoing academic support and resources for success in college coursework
- Career and internship planning for graduate school and professional opportunities
- Financial planning support to manage college costs and build financial literacy
Throughout the academic year, SEOP coordinates workshops, events, and networking opportunities to strengthen students' skills, celebrate their achievements, and build a lasting support network.
If you鈥檙e a motivated individual whose academic record doesn鈥檛 fully reflect your potential, SEOP may be the right program for you. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a high school graduate (or equivalent)
- Not meet the general admission criteria for 91果冻传媒 Conn. State University
Application Process:
- Apply to 91果冻传媒 via the Common Application
- Submit required documents: a letter of recommendation, official transcripts, and a personal essay.
Please note: Students cannot apply directly to SEOP. They must apply to 91果冻传媒 via the Common Application. Once their application is reviewed, applicants will be referred to SEOP by the office of Admissions
Eligible applicants will be invited to an informational session to learn more about SEOP and how it can support their college journey.
